They say breaking a law is morally wrong but what if this infringement turns out to be a life saving act. This is exactly what happened when a 911 dispatcher Tim Webb broke the rules and risked his job to save a seventeenth month old baby from death. According to Fox2 Now, it was a routine day at Virginia’s Galaxy Police Department when a 911 dispatcher, Tim Webb received a panic-stricken call from Melissa Grable, the mother of the 17th month old baby Aidan, explaining how all of a sudden her little boy had become lifeless while taking a nap. Aidan, who was not well, was taking a nap with his grandmother when suddenly he got a seizure and stopped breathing. The grandmother shouted to call 911 and the extremely fanatical mother called the dispatcher and begged for help. Tim Webb asked Melissa Grable if there was anyone around who knew CPR but the answer was no. And, then the dispatcher was left with no other option other then breaking the law and giving CPR directions over the phone. He was a CPR trained personnel; however, the Galaxy Police Department does not own an emergency medical dispatch certification due to which dispatchers are not allowed to give CPR directions on phone calls. However, at that point of time, Tim Webb decided to risk his job and help the mother in saving his little baby’s life. Melissa was given instructions on how to perform CPR on Aidan. Tim Webb told Fox2 Now, "Without some sort of life-saving measures, the child would expire. I wasn't gonna let that happen, even if it meant being reprimanded." All instructions were carefully followed by Aidan’s mother and grandmother and after twenty minutes, with the arrival of the ambulance, the little baby started breathing again. According to Melissa Grable, “It was the scariest day of my life. All I could do was say a prayer, over and over and over, please God don’t take my son from me.â€Â And thus, the family visited the police department after several weeks of that frightening incident to thank Tim Webb for saving their little baby. Webb was also applauded by the police department for acting wisely and taking a risk to save the life of a child.
